Update May 13, 2005: Final processing of CPL data from the October-November mission has been completed. Data quality (calibration) is improved, and most false positives are eliminated in the layer boundaries. Extinction and optical depth products are now available (for 532 nm only).
Experiment Information:
The Aura satellite was launched in 2004 to study various aspects of the Earth's atmospheric chemistry. The Aura Validation Experiment (AVE) field campaign is the first in a series of groundbased and airborne measurements to calibrate and validate the Aura measurements. The experiment was conducted from Ellington Field in Houston, TX, from October 26 to November 12. This also marked the first flight for CPL onboard the WB-57 aircraft.
NOTICE: Access to CPL data is not restricted. However, we do ask that everyone read and abide by the CPL data usage policy found here: CPL data usage policy. In addition, please bear in mind that satellite teams have their own data usage policies, and they should be contacted before use or publication of validation data.
